Millot Conilhac

Good value for money, honestly. I had a long, enjoyable chat with the owner, who's into motorcycles and lots of other things, and there's a small workshop where you can leave your gear safely. For mountain biking, there's a superb spot 400 meters into the woods, with dozens of kilometers of varied singletrack. It wasn't muddy even in wet weather. The room has air conditioning and double glazing, so road noise doesn't come through. Parking was easy. I recommend it!

We stayed for a week as tourists, and this bed and breakfast was excellent value. Our room had an ensuite bathroom and was clean and well kept. Breakfast is all you can eat, served at the time you ask for, with homemade jams. The house is beside a main road, but the soundproofing meant we slept well. The room is air-conditioned, so there was no need to sleep with the windows open. There's no dedicated parking, though street parking is easy and free. The entrance hall has lots of tourist brochures, and the owners have excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants when you want more.

The room was spotless and breakfast was excellent. Alain seemed a little harsh at first, but he turned out to be really nice. If you're in the area and need a room, it's a must-stay.

The owner is a biker and has a little motorcycle workshop there. The room was cozy and clean, and the price felt reasonable. Just plan to eat before you get to the hotel, since they don't serve dinner and the only bar in town is very expensive.
