B&B HOTEL Calais Terminal Cité de l'Europe 2 étoiles

We arrived late after taking the ferry from Dover and were glad to find parking and an easy night check-in terminal. It gave us an electronic key and room number, so we found our room quickly, and getting back to the car was simple too. We’d booked breakfast before continuing on to Germany the next morning. The quality was very good, and there was plenty to choose from, including excellent slow-roasted coffee. The gentleman looking after us was very friendly and courteous, and spoke at least English and French. We’re planning a similar trip for a kayaking event next year and intend to stay here overnight again.

Cité Europe is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and there are restaurants and a Lidl across from the hotel. There’s also lots of free parking behind it. We found the staff friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable, with a bathroom that had a shower, a bath and a separate loo. It’s a great stop before taking Le Shuttle the next day. We’ll definitely stay here again when we use it.

We’ve used B&B Hotel for our holiday trips from the UK to Italy with our dog, and the price is very good for the quality. Booking is easy, dogs are accepted, and the hotels are comfortable with good breakfasts. The staff we met were all polite and helpful. We’re sure we’ll keep using B&B Hotel as we travel through France.

We stayed as a family, and the room was spacious enough for us, with comfortable beds. It was clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The bathroom had both a bath and shower, with the toilet in a separate room that also had its own sink. There was a capsule coffee machine, a kettle with tea, a fridge and a microwave, which made the room very suitable for family travel. We picked the hotel for its closeness to the tunnel terminal, and it was easy to find with plenty of parking. If you arrive later, you can still get dinner at the adjoining B&B 3* hotel. The Calais B&B hotels share a joint complex. I’d use this chain elsewhere too. It’s a good concept.
