Hotel Davia

The setting is very convenient, right off the main road but without the traffic noise. Most rooms look out over the ocean, close enough that you can hear the waves. The rooms have been remodeled in a modern style and feel new. The woman at reception was absolutely lovely, helpful, and efficient. Excellent in so many ways.

The rooms are spacious, modern, clean, and new, with nice terraces overlooking the ocean. From the pool and the rooms, you don’t really notice the hotel is in an industrial and shopping area. The staff were friendly, but they ignored our request not to have the room cleaned, and there were no do-not-disturb signs. It’s a 20-minute walk to town, uphill on the way back, and there’s no path to the nearest lovely beaches. It’s good value if you find an offer, though next time I’d stay closer to town.

It’s a good base for visiting île rousse or the mountain villages, and the staff are friendly. The hotel is quite new, around 4 years old, and has a modern feel. It’s small, with only a few rooms, but somehow feels more like a big chain hotel than a cosy small one. That’s only a slight downside. You can’t book breakfast in advance, but there is a good breakfast, either buffet or continental.

The hotel and room were really clean, and breakfast was fantastic. Everything was perfect. I hope I can stay at your hotel again soon. Best regards.
