The location was the one thing we liked. Everything else made the stay difficult. We got no instructions on arrival: the front door stood open, there were no keys ready, and nothing felt secure. We also found out only then that we were staying in a local's home, which had never been mentioned. Communication was practically nonexistent. We had to keep pressing for answers, and although the keys were meant to be available at 5 p.m., they only sent us a photo explaining things after 7 p.m., even though a key box had been there all along. The host was cold and unpleasant, with no empathy. The place was dirty and smelled of drains and damp. The floor was grimy, the sheets were stained and smelly, pillows had no cases, and the shower was clogged. Late at night, we were told to enter through a bay window using a tiny key. At first the door wouldn't lock, and no one helped despite our calls. Sleep was hard to come by: there was a washing machine running in the middle of the night and a blender in the morning. The photos were misleading too, since the outdoor areas we could access looked nothing like what was shown. Poorly managed, noisy, and dirty. The location was the only thing that partly salvaged it. I strongly advise against staying here.

The worst stay we've ever had. The place was unsanitary and nothing like the listing, and the landlady was as unpleasant as she was incoherent. Avoid it unless you actually want to experience a gloomy nursing home. The bedroom had a smell as soon as we opened the door, somewhere between a badly ventilated nursing home and a teenager's room after two weeks shut away. We laughed at the state of the place, then the host suddenly appeared just to scold us for making noise, even though we thought the house was empty. There were no sheets or pillowcases, the mattress was stained, and the pillows had dried eye or nose boogers on them. Everything had a faint smell of built-up sebum. We laid our shower towels on the bed to make it bearable, and our clothes picked up the smell too. There was no soundproofing, so earplugs would have helped us hear less of the household's everyday life. We had booked what was described as a “modern apartment,” but it was a shabby room in a private home. The bathroom was private, though the kitchen was shared with other guests and the host. When we arrived at 1 a.m., there was a cluttered garage, a suspicious smell, and both the front door and our supposed apartment were open. It only then became clear that this was a shared house. The exterior door, described as “private access,” couldn't be closed the next morning, and the owner's messages went unanswered. There was trouble getting the keys too. The room was supposed to be available from 5 p.m., but our wife told us she'd only be there at 8 p.m. for an in-person handover. When we couldn't wait, she eventually sent confusing photo instructions, though all that was needed was a digital code. Her messages even ended with a charming “YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!!” The welcome itself was nonexistent. The host seemed to discover at the last minute that guests were coming, despite the Booking.com reservation, and we had to chase her for arrival details. She insisted everything was in the reservation email, which we never received. She also said there was a €150 deposit to pay before arrival, then said we'd sort it out when we got there. What a nerve, given what followed. That second evening was another night of misery in filth, thankfully the last. We left a review on Booking.com, and then the host rewrote the story in her reply, claiming she'd done favors she hadn't. She said she'd let us drop off our luggage before the scheduled check-out time, which was false, and that a service provider came to clean and she supervised it herself. If that's true, she either needs to fire them or rethink her hygiene standards. She also accused us of making noise at night and said imaginary neighbors had complained, probably her friends the dust mites. Her bad-faith replies and hysterical exclamations completed the picture. For all the talk about a private apartment, this was an unpleasant, misleading experience in a dirty house.

It's a beautiful guesthouse, and the owner is very discreet. The kitchen has everything, and there's access to the garden and terrace with several sets of garden furniture. The only issue, and it wasn't a major one, was the cleaning. The appliances were dirty, so I had to wash the coffee maker, deep fryer, microwave, and glasses before I could use them. There was also a lot of dust. The owner seemed well intentioned and told me the cleaner would come before we arrived, but I think they need to change the cleaner.

We weren't a couple, so you've got the wrong person. We were three guys on a business trip, and we didn't stay at all. When we arrived and saw the state of the rooms, we immediately cancelled after agreeing with you that the fees would be waived. The mattresses were hanging off the bed frames, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. But two days later I noticed you'd taken €100 in fees anyway. You're a thief. Avoid this place.
