I really liked being able to book the spa for an hour, a real bonus. The pool was clean, relaxing, and well managed, and the staff were super friendly. The room’s decor and comfort were spot on. Only letdown was the bathroom, which felt a little dated compared with the rest of the carefully designed place. Otherwise, the hotel was amazing.

The shower was the one downside. Everything else made for a great night, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The food was simply delicious, the service fantastic, and there were lovely lounge and bar areas alongside super cozy rooms. The view alone is worth the money. We’ll definitely come back.

We paid nearly £300 a night for a “deluxe” room, which felt incredibly overpriced. The hotel charges a premium compared with the villages and surrounding area, so I expected something exceptional. Instead, the rooms felt quite dated, and the bathrooms hadn’t been updated in the recent renovation. It’s also some distance from the small local resorts of Combloux and Princesse, so you need a transfer. I wouldn’t recommend it. After we got back, we raised our concerns with management. They replied with an ill-mannered and inaccurate email that dismissed the complaints. The management attitude was terrible.

The balcony view is spectacular, and the free shuttle to the slopes was great. Beyond that, the stay was a letdown. We had no hot water on the first night. Management asked us to wait 15-20 minutes because everyone was using it at once, but it still didn’t come back, so we had to take a cold shower. The internet was patchy and only worked now and then. For the relatively high price, the rooms felt lacklustre, more like a budget hotel than a 4* place, and the dated bathroom was missing the little extras. Breakfast was average, continental with cooked eggs as an option. Dinner was disappointing too. About six hours after eating, I woke in the night and was sick for the rest of it. I can’t be sure the food caused it, but I wouldn’t risk it again. We raised the problems at checkout and management weren’t helpful or apologetic. They only offered to refund dinner after we said we weren’t happy to pay for it. We also emailed them and got a very rude, ill-mannered reply. Their attitude was appalling. With the great reviews and high nightly cost, we’d expected much more. The value was very poor, and in my opinion calling it a 3* hotel would be generous.
