La Maison Hilarion

The garden borders the river, and the house is full of original features and floors. I loved relaxing in the salon among the gold velvet sofas beside the wood-burning stove. La Marison Hilarion is cozy and eclectically decorated, and Laurence made us feel so welcome that after three days I felt we'd become friends. She knows the area inside out and even drove me to Cotignac while my husband was golfing. There are lovely hikes through the vineyards, and Correns has a delicious boulangerie. Breakfast is generous, with organic sheep yogurt, fresh croissants and baguettes, jam, eggs cooked as you like, fruit, cheese and granola. If you can, book dinner at Maison Hilarion too. Laurence makes a homemade meal at a great price, every bit as good as a restaurant. I loved the stay and the genuine French experience. Thank you, Laurence and Laurent!

The garden is such a peaceful little haven, and breakfast is really good and plentiful. You can borrow comics, too. Laurence and Laurent are passionate people with lots of helpful ideas for sightseeing, cultural events and more. The place is delightful, and it feels like home, only better.

On a hot summer day at 37 degrees, it was a real treat to swim in the Argens River, just a two-minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay at Maison Hilarion. The spacious "Nicolas" room is tastefully decorated, and dinner on the garden terrace was a pleasure, both for the setting and the host's cooking. Laurent and Laurence gave us such a warm welcome. It's a lovely base for visiting Correns and the surrounding area.

The generous, delicious breakfasts and refined decor made the stay lovely, but Laurence and Laurent's remarkable kindness and discretion were what stood out most. Thank you both for welcoming us into your beautiful home by the Argens River and sharing your world and this beautiful region with us.
