Le Prieuré Corrèze

We stopped here with the family in December during a long trip, and it worked perfectly. The hotel and restaurant both had excellent service, and the restaurant food was outstanding. It looks like a very appealing place to return to in summer, with the pool and terrace. We’ll be back.

La Prieuré Corrèze made for a memorable, relaxing stay, even with a day of British weather. The gardens and valley views are spectacular, the pool is fantastic, and the hotel is charming and beautifully maintained. Food and drinks were immaculate, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. They were patient and kind as we did our best to communicate in poor French, and their recommendations made the visit even better. We also spent time in town and visited the Jacques Chirac Museum. The attention to detail and thoughtful service made this a stylish getaway, and I’d highly recommend La Prieuré Corrèze.

The people were lovely, and the service was great. The building and outdoor furniture are beautiful. Our room was large, but the furniture felt oddly arranged and out of step with the decor outside, leaving the space feeling empty. The bathroom also seemed too small for such a large room. We had dinner there twice as vegetarians, but the choices were limited and the food fell short for a hotel of this level.

We’d gladly come back. The former convent has been lovingly restored and furnished with great taste, and the staff were very attentive.
