Hôtel de la Restonica

The setting at Hotel Restonica was just right for me, especially with beautiful rivers to swim in. We stayed two nights, and our family of five, two parents and three teens/tweens, loved it. The rooms were very comfortable, breakfast was great, and the surroundings were amazing.

The restaurant's location makes it easy to fit in a mountain hike or relax by the pool or Restonica river. We found the staff welcoming and very friendly, with a professional touch that made us feel valued, even in the luxurious-looking setting. The food was better than I expected for the area, and every dish we ordered was tasty. I especially recommend the pulpe, cooked until really tender. The salads are generous, and the bread was crisp and seemed fresh. I loved it with the olives and the restaurant's special olive oil.

The river is right by the hotel, and you can get into its cool natural pools straight from the property. After long hikes, I even used the hotel's large pool twice, though I usually skip hotel pools. It's cleaned every day. The hotel is also well placed for popular mountain and lake walks, and Corte is about five minutes away by car. My girlfriend and I spent three nights here on our Corsica trip and really enjoyed it. The rooms are modern and very nice, with one of the best bathrooms and showers I had on Corsica. We also liked the restaurant enough to return for a second dinner, and the service was very friendly. Breakfast is simple but good, with fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would come back to the beautiful Restonica Valley.

The pool looked especially tempting, though it was cold enough to give you a heart attack. The place feels clean and a bit unique, and the rooms are tidy and practical. Town, with its good restaurants, is a five-minute drive away. I can imagine it getting overrun during the season.
