Hotel De La Gare

The location worked really well, right by the train station and near the town centre, with restaurants and shops nearby and trains to other places. The room was affordable. But the stay had a lot of problems: there was no AC or fridge despite the heat, and the electric fan didn't help. The pillows were uncomfortable, so we bought another one. The toilet smelled bad when we arrived, and our shampoo wasn't replaced for five days even after we moved the bottle to show it was empty. We were charged for breakfasts we hadn't eaten, too. Breakfast charges should be clearly explained to foreign guests. Nothing in the booking details or at the hotel made that clear in English, unlike what we're used to in the US, where breakfast is complimentary. The hotel should also keep track of when guests actually eat breakfast so they aren't charged by mistake. Then the cleaning lady ushered us out before checkout time.
