We had a bad stay because the owner hosted some guests from a rock band for dinner downstairs. They smoked heavily, and the kitchen/dining room door was left wide open, so the smoke and awful smell soon reached the first floor. The corridor toilet door was open too, and it stank there as well. Every trip to the bathroom, which was outside our room, was a nightmare. This was a clear breach of the guidelines B&B owners are supposed to follow.

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, and the owner was friendly. But the beds were uncomfortable, there were stray cats, and the toast was burnt.

Brigitte is a charming, attentive hostess, and we found the stay pure bliss. The view is superb, with grounds to wander, a pool and a garden to enjoy. Breakfast beneath the mulberry trees is lovely to share, and Cotignac is well worth exploring. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place waiting to be discovered.

Brigitte looked after us wonderfully at her beautiful, tastefully decorated gîte. She’s a fantastic host. Parking is easy to access, and the village of Cotignac is nearby. I recommend it 200%!
