La Trémière

We were accepted at the last minute, with less than 24 hours’ notice, and got a really warm welcome. The host was extremely kind and attentive to what we needed. The house suited our one-night stop on the way back from Brittany perfectly. It’s also only a two-minute walk from the ferry, handy for setting off again the next day and crossing the Loire.

I wouldn’t recommend booking here. I’d reserved a room the day before and asked whether a meal was available. He said he could provide a full meal for €15, including pizza, coffee, dessert, and a drink. I only said I didn’t want the dessert, drink, or coffee. He politely told me not to come because the room was no longer available. That wasn’t right, especially after I’d booked the previous day, and it left me in a difficult position. This person is just another slumlord, in my view. He was not customer-oriented or accommodating at all.

A lovely stop for four tired cyclists. The host was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the interesting conversations. We were glad to rest there in such good company.

We got a very warm welcome, but breakfast was quite basic. The price felt a little high for the location and the quality of breakfast. The €20 pizza meal also seemed expensive, even with a starter and dessert.
