The medieval-style meal was such a fun discovery, and we loved hearing the hosts talk about the history of spices. We spent a peaceful night surrounded by greenery in a house full of original decor. The welcome was perfect, and they shared so much of what they know over dinner. Thanks for such a warm stay. We’d happily do it again.

We booked all three rooms with friends and enjoyed how quiet the surroundings were. Breakfast starts at 9 am because the hostess isn’t an early riser, and there wasn’t much to go around: two small portions of jam, a teaspoon of honey for six people, and a pat of butter. The decor is very crowded with all sorts of things. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with asthma.

Our first bed-and-breakfast stay was at La Maison des Délices, and we’d gladly recommend it. We were in the Indian room, which was very well equipped, and had a wonderful night. Dinner was delicious without feeling too heavy, a real treat. Thanks to the hosts. We hope they can get all their activities going again soon.

We had such a lovely time in this distinctive guesthouse, almost like stepping outside of time for a while. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the dishes had subtle, spicy flavors. Jean Daniel knows so much about medieval cuisine. Thank you both for a memorable stay.

We’ve often had trouble with B&Bs canceling when we book through Smart Box, but here they honored their commitments and welcomed us warmly. Béatrice and Jean-Da, thank you for such a lovely time together. Lindy gets a hug too. The house is comfortable, with decor inspired by India that feels like a journey through time and space. We met a generous, charming couple who are deeply passionate about medieval architecture. We also loved the refined, flavorful food, served in generous portions.
