Aparthotel Adagio La Defense Kleber

The kitchenette was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The living room’s air-conditioning was good enough, but the bedrooms could use something more efficient. La Defense is an 8-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket five minutes away. An Uber or Bolt to central Paris costs 13-15 euro.

The location was the one upside. Everything else made this the worst hotel experience I’ve had: broken elevators, broken AC, rude and unhelpful staff, and food poisoning after using the kitchen items. Breakfast was poor, expensive, cold, and not stocked. They charged €15/night for city tax, the kind of amount I’d expect at a palace in Paris. They promised compensation, then blocked our rewards points, and we had to contact Accor to get them reinstated. I’d stay anywhere else.

The area felt safe, with restaurants down the street and a supermarket two minutes away. La Defense metro is a 12-minute walk, then about 20 minutes into the city. There’s free coffee and water in the lobby 24/7. The location really is amazing: from our window or balcony on the 11/14 floor, we could see the Tower. Only downside was NO A/C. Otherwise, it was perfect and I’d go again.

The room, with its balcony, was great, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was OK. I do feel for anyone on the top floors when the lifts were out for two days. I stayed more than a week and had to pay 1.5€ for each new coffee capsule for my room, while the next guest would get the four welcome capsules replenished for free. What kind of logic is that? Special mention to Windiane, who was really friendly and welcoming.
