Odalys Hotel New Solarium

I paid 560 euros for dinner, and I wouldn't pay even 20 euros for that same food. The setting and service deserve praise, but the kitchen needs serious improvement before this place has substance to match the flash. I had dinner at Giovanni in L’Apogée Hotel last night. The service was excellent, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. But for somewhere so premium, expensive, and luxurious, the food was shockingly disappointing. The restaurant doesn't even appear on Google Maps, which is strange for a place aiming to be high-end. The pasta was overcooked with none of the al dente texture you'd expect, and the sauces tasted flat and shallow, almost like an afterthought. I ordered my steak medium and got it rare, a basic mistake for a restaurant of this caliber. The pizza was a Margherita, but tasted like an American-style cheese overload, with barely any sauce. Parmesan shreds were on everything, as if they were trying to make up for a lack of flavor with cheese. That felt far from authentic Italian cooking.

I come to this hotel with my family every year. The employees are genuinely lovely, not just being nice because it's their job. From valet service and reception to concierge, housekeeping, the restaurant, and space ski, the people and service are perfect and very considerate.

We had our best stay ever this March. The bespoke service, customer excellence, and great ski-in ski-out location made it a brilliant luxury ski hotel. The food was out of this world, especially at one of the best Italian restaurants, with Michelin Star chef Gennaro’s.

I've visited twice for dinner and don't know anything about the rooms. The food and service were excellent, and the staff were friendly and kind. Highly recommended for Italian food.
