Le Grand Hotel Courchevel 1850

Please take these comments into account so future guests don't end up in the same situation. We booked a room with a balcony but were given one without it, and the information we received wasn't accurate. Breakfast was extremely slow, with limited choices. The electricity suddenly went out during the night, then the hotel alarm sounded early in the morning. At checkout, they tried to take money from the deposit without clearly explaining why. Not recommended.

At checkout, the person in charge confirmed that taking money from my deposit would be a mistake and said there should be no deduction. Even so, money was taken after we left, without a valid reason. I've tried to get it sorted, but the person responsible keeps avoiding me and calls have been hung up on. This is misleading, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Future guests should be very cautious about deposits here. I hope the hotel contacts me and takes real action.

Courchevel was AMAZING, and the hotel itself was cute and cozy. We stayed with family for Christmas in December 2024. The nighttime restaurant was great and had enough staff, but breakfast fell short and its wait staff seemed overwhelmed. Our room was below the restaurant, so we heard footsteps every night until 1 am. That became my bedtime, and after many nights without proper sleep, I couldn't rate the hotel four or four and a half stars, which I otherwise would have.

The location was perfect, and everything about the stay felt easy. The room was spacious and cleaned extremely well, among the best room cleaning I've seen. We left our branded bags around the room and nothing went missing. The ski rental shop was great, and Enora, Aurora, and Adam made the visit memorable. Everyone was helpful and had what we needed. Best hotel ever, 100/10.
