We had to argue for charges to be removed, and only after we threatened to call the police and others involved did that happen. The receptionist kept pressing us to pay for things we hadn't ordered, including a $50 charge for the room card I had left in the room. She also insisted on a 30% fee when I wanted to order food to the room. She was very rude and disrespectful. She was short, with black hair. The disputed charges added up to over $1,000, and the argument caused major delays. Our prepaid transportation nearly left while we were dealing with the bill. There were unexplained extra fees, even for ski passes, and the food was disgusting. The staff were unprofessional. For a hotel in Courchevel that calls itself five-star and costs this much, the service and attempted charges were unacceptable. I've never seen worse staff at a hotel of this price and rating. I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else, even if it costs more, so you can trust what you're paying for.

The restaurant was average, so I took off a star. The hotel itself is in a very good location, with big, clean rooms and bathrooms. There's a 'shatafa' in the bathroom, which is a big plus. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the shuttle can take you anywhere in 1850 and pick you up.

After the Corona shut-down, management never got back to me, and even the email address no longer works. I wouldn't book or pay in advance. Find another hotel. That kind of behavior is unacceptable for a hotel hoping to be five-star.
