Snow Retreat Chalet Pandora, 15 person , wifi

The chalet has the practical bits covered, including a boot room and warming rack, and the showers get properly hot with good pressure. Staff are friendly and the chefs are usually good. You can ski in and out when snow conditions are right, using the button lift run. La Tania is handy, with everything about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Beds are a little narrow and the mattresses thin, though still okay. Wi-Fi is usable, but phone data is faster.

Our en-suite bedrooms were spacious and clean, and the hosts were wonderfully friendly. They arranged our transfers to and from Moutiers Station, about a 25-minute drive away. It was my first time skiing and staying in a chalet, and they made it easy: breakfast and a first-class three-course dinner with wine every day except their day off. Even then, they still provided breakfast, so we could try one of the good local restaurants that evening. I'd thoroughly recommend Snow Retreat.

My son and I had a brilliant Christmas week in La Tania with Snow Retreat, even though the early-season lack of snow was a risk that came true. This was my seventh year staying with them, and I can't recommend the team highly enough. They have years of experience and are professional, while still offering superb value year after year. The chalets have what you need, the food is excellent, and you're close to La Tania's bars, restaurants and shops as well as the slopes. Ski-in, ski-out is nearly possible when conditions allow. As they say, get yourselves out here.

The food was delicious, and the staff were lovely. Such a beautiful chalet in a great spot, and the best one I've stayed in. We had an absolutely amazing week and can't wait to book again.
