The jacuzzi was the main reason we booked, so finding out only when we arrived that it wasn’t working was a real letdown. There was no apology, and when I later reported it to Wonderbox, where we’d booked, I’d warned the person beforehand as a courtesy, but she replied to everything except that point. Again, no apology. We wouldn’t have chosen this place without the jacuzzi, and honestly, for good reason. We’ve stayed in countless B&Bs and guesthouses, and this is the first time we’ve felt moved to write such a negative review. The setting itself is pleasant, secluded, fairly quiet and relaxing, and our room was very clean. It was called Toulouse Lautrec, though it was tiny and quite bare, like time had stood still. We could put up with that. The bathroom was much too small for the price, and only a curtain separated it from the room, so you’d need to be comfortable with very little privacy. At reception, someone was waiting impatiently by the door and gave us barely any time to arrive. They made a rather rude suggestion that we were late, even though we got there 30 minutes before our allotted slot ended. When we greeted them, they said, “It's fine, you already said that.” The €50 meal was dated and not worth the price, though it wasn’t awful. We had terrine with pepper and a hint of ginger or something else, pork cheek with one slice of potato, then egg custard. We almost felt pressured to say it was good. Breakfast was much better, very good, varied and plentiful. Still, everything seemed rationed, which was odd. You couldn’t be too hungry or ask for a whole piece of fruit or a little more cake.

We were welcomed very pleasantly. The location was quiet, the room spotless, and both lunch and dinner were perfect.

We had a traditional meal in the evening, and everything was perfect. The house is lovely, with spacious, large rooms and balconies, surrounded by nature and complete calm. On our bike trip from Bordeaux to Sète, this was our first night in a bed and breakfast. We got a warm welcome and a complimentary drink.

Such a good pause from everyday life. The welcome was excellent and really pleasant, and meeting the owners, their daughter and mother was incredibly kind. Dinner and breakfast were perfect. We’ll be back with the children, and recommend it without hesitation.
