The garden was lovely in the evening sun, and clearly very well cared for. We also slept in the beautifully furnished “Les Toits” room, which even had a kettle. Breakfast was full of homemade things and everything tasted great, especially the cider. Mr. Zamparo welcomed us so warmly and was patient and helpful whenever we tried to explain ourselves in French or English. We had an excellent stay.

We found this charming B&B in a traditional Norman farmhouse a great base for exploring the Pays d'Auge and heading to the coast. Our hosts made us feel very welcome, and we especially enjoyed the homemade breakfast.

The landlord was so friendly and hospitable, and always had useful tips and advice for us. We’d happily come back. The half-timbered house is beautiful, with an old, disused cider press, and it sits in a wonderful spot. Highly recommended!

The peaceful setting is a real draw, and Lisieux with its magnificent basilica is close by. Mr. and Mrs. Zamparo’s guest rooms and cottage are magnificent and tastefully decorated, and you’re given a really warm welcome. I highly recommend this haven of peace.
