La Bonne Famille

The three-course meal was 30 euros, with very good dishes that could be improved with just a few extras. It’s a family-run place that deserves all the respect you can give it for the food. In a small hamlet at the top of a hill overlooking one of the little valleys in Lot, there’s this three-star hotel and restaurant. Service was a little slow, but the setting was pleasant enough that the extra wait wasn’t too bad. I’ll definitely come back, maybe in winter.

The place has modern decor, while the menu and cooking are traditionally French. We had Sunday lunch, and the food was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. Recommended.

I only ate here, I didn’t stay. We had just the plate of the day, which was average. Most of the lunchtime customers seemed to be workers or day laborers. My French parents, though, went the day before and ordered the full five-course dinner. They couldn’t say enough good things about it. I believe the reviews here are genuine, and that this is the best place near Martel.

First time at the restaurant. The food was generally good for a reasonable price, and it’s a nice, friendly place.
