Each room has its own kitschy theme, and we loved that quirky feel. If you prefer a modern chain hotel, this may not be your style. The hotel has a nostalgic character and wonderfully friendly staff. The village is a lovely place to unwind, with beautiful views of the white cliffs. The pebble beach isn't really suited to swimming, but it's good for gathering mussels. There's a good restaurant and a bakery two minutes down the road, with more facilities a short drive away in Le Tréport. Breakfast at the hotel was great, and I'd recommend having it.

The hotel is family-run, with a lot of dedication and real professionalism. The staff were helpful and the place felt friendly. We travel with two big dogs, so we especially appreciated that dogs are welcome. The rooms are roomy and well equipped, and the buffet breakfast can be served in the room or on the terrace overlooking the sea. Mesnil Val was once an exclusive summer resort, and the lovely Normandy-style villas still show that history. These days it's a very quiet village, with uncrowded places to relax and walk, while lively Le Treport is nearby. The hotel itself has an interesting story, built around the founder's passion and inspired by small coast guard barracks. It offers comfortable rooms, plenty of recreation space, and beautiful sea and cliff views. Our short stay was a very pleasant surprise. I hope the WiFi is better next time.

The location worked well for meeting our friends, and the beach is very close. It feels almost in the middle of nowhere, but the receptionist was friendly and there was good parking. The room was reasonably comfortable, with a separate toilet and a decent bathroom. The double bed had some damp sheets, though, and the room smelled musty. There was only one or two sockets for charging phones or computers, but you don't really need those here. We stayed one night in August 2024 at Hôtel Royal Albion, arriving late in the afternoon and setting off again early the next day. We had an end room, so noise from neighbors wasn't an issue. It's a lovely quiet countryside spot if you want to read and relax. If you rely on a phone or computer, you might want to leave them at home. There was no 5G, 4G or 3G, maybe a little Edge, but the internet connection was negligible. We couldn't get connected even after asking reception.

Really enjoyed it. There's lots of space for camping, and we also had a room for the night. Breakfast was continental only.

The view is good, the room was clean, and there's a cosy square. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The one thing that bothered me was a staff member standing in the corner of the breakfast room watching everyone, checking whether the food had run out or cleaning tables after guests finished.
