The village and restaurant made for a lovely evening. Our meal was unexpectedly delicious, and the dishes were put together with real care. The hostess was warm and helpful, too. I picked a wine to suit my own taste, and she was happy to go with my choice.

We had a family lunch at Auberge de Crissay sur Manse, and booking ahead on the website took just a couple of minutes. The village and restaurant are both lovely, and the portions were very generous. Everything was made to order on site with seasonal, local ingredients. The dishes looked inviting and tasted just as good. Service was quick, and the lady was so kind. They brought us a little glass of wine and homemade toast with the aperitif, then a small cake with coffee. A lovely place to eat well in pleasant surroundings. Thanks again to the owners for making us feel so welcome!

We chose the main course and dessert option for dinner in Crissay tonight. Since the main course was rather small, we asked whether we could add some cheese, and the cheese arrived before dessert. Then the bill came as a surprise: it listed a starter, main course, dessert, and cheese supplement, with the cheese plate alone costing 15 euros. They should have explained the extra charge beforehand. We’ve had several excellent dinners here before, but this will be our last. Don’t treat customers like cash cows.

We had lunch on the terrace, four of us, with a stunning view. The menu was gourmet and made with local produce, and the staff were friendly. Really, nothing to complain about, just thank you! This restaurant and inn is in a beautiful part of Touraine and well worth discovering. See you soon!
