Les Chaufourniers / L'Ecurie

We only managed two nights in July, and now I wish we'd stayed longer. Florence and Dominic are so warm and down to earth, and were always glad to help or share tips for seeing the area. Our cozy, thoughtfully decorated room and the excellent service made us feel right at home. It's a great base for discovering Normandy, and we'd happily come back. Hope to see you again!

Florence speaks English well and was able to suggest restaurants in Bayeux, just 8 km away. She and Dominique are lovely innkeepers, and the house is spotless. We had a continental breakfast each day with delicious yogurt, granola, and delectable croissants, along with homemade marmalade in several flavors. The decor is beautiful, and the peaceful countryside made this an incredible break. We highly recommend this B&B for a visit to Normandy!

Our room, Mandalay, was bright, airy, tastefully furnished, and spotlessly clean. The spacious bathroom and walk-in shower were a treat. Les Chaufourniers sits in tranquil, beautiful gardens with plenty of room for children to play. Florence and Dominique looked after us so kindly. Breakfast had homemade preserves, croissants, breads, ham, Brie, cereals, and fruit. It's close to Bayeaux and the Normandy Landing beaches, and I'd gladly recommend a stay here.

We loved returning to our two-room suite after touring the D-Day beaches and Mont St. Michel. This beautifully decorated farmhouse was a peaceful haven, and it had every amenity we needed. Breakfast was amazing, and the attention to detail and warm hospitality made the idyllic setting even better. Florence and Dominque made us feel welcome and cared for from the moment we arrived. Our June 25-28, 2017 visit near Bayeux was perfect. We'll stay again and recommend it to our friends. We miss it already!
