The children could eat what we did, and we could share the food however we liked, so one of them ended up with a “free” meal. They can also put together a decent children's menu if you need one. We had lunch, and everything was good, very good, mostly great. The prices felt reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth the trip if you're within a couple hundred kilometres.

We've been coming back regularly for almost six years, and we've always felt warmly welcomed by Carine. She and her husband put real passion into serving high quality local food and authentic cuisine. Every meal has been a pleasure, and the foreign guests we've invited to eat and stay there have all been happy too. Good food, lovely people, and very fair prices. Well worth a visit.

The prices are fair, and you can get the daily menu at lunch or dinner, whenever suits you. The service and food were both very good, in line with what others have said.

Cruis is a tiny French village near the foot of Mount Lure, and in the low season it has all the makings of a quiet weekend away. The food is wonderful. Even if you only stop by for dinner at the auberge, I'd wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
