Hôtel & Events Le Patio Occitan – Toulouse Ouest Cugnaux

A peaceful, relaxing place to stay in the countryside near Toulouse. Nice spot.

I don’t usually post Google reviews, but Patio Occitan deserves one. It’s tucked among greenery just minutes from Toulouse, with a calm atmosphere, comfortable rooms that are nicely decorated, and a warm welcome from an attentive team. The seminar pavilion is particularly impressive, well designed and equipped for working in good conditions. Planning is meticulous, and the team works hard to keep events running smoothly. I’d recommend the place for a business seminar or a short break.

The venue is modern and functional, and having the rooms close by was a real plus for our wedding at Patio Occitan on October 18th. But the hotel's organization was disastrous, and the manager seemed to have forgotten what was discussed during the technical visit. We were asked for another €500 to get the reception hall keys at noon on Friday rather than 7 p.m. We agreed, but a seminar was given priority, so we had to rush the decorations that evening. Despite the brochure saying the couple's wishes mattered, ours clearly didn't. The manager's main interest seemed to be making our decorations look Instagram-worthy for their marketing. The hotel was meant to be exclusive to us, yet its rooms were still listed on Booking.com. There were also lots of billing mistakes. Guests were charged more than agreed for rooms, €1,000 was added to our final bill, we were billed for breakfasts we hadn't had, and the complimentary bridal suite was charged too. These problems were fixed after we spotted them, but we had to spend Sunday afternoon calling guests to find out what they had paid. It felt petty to be charged for 5 coffees when we'd rented the venue for the whole weekend and 46 nights. In the week before the wedding, some guests were contacted four times about the same issue, while many others are still waiting for their booking confirmation and access code. All the rooms were deactivated at noon Sunday, though we had them until 4 pm, and some until the next day. We expected the manager to call the day after to apologize and calm things down, but there was no call. For a stress-free wedding, go somewhere other than Le Patio.

The staff were really friendly and efficient, and everything was clean with comfortable bedding. The hotel is in a very quiet spot and has a terrace, though Storm Nile meant I couldn't enjoy it. There isn't a restaurant at the hotel, and the walk to one is quite long, so it's inconvenient if you're on foot. Staff are there from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Outside those hours, they send you an access code by text.
