The historic little town by the Tarn is lovely to explore, with pretty walks and views. We also really enjoyed this small hotel: Pascal and his wife make you feel welcome, the food is top rate, and Pascal has a great sense of humour.

The meal was a highlight, especially the Chichoulet cheese and the local Tarn recipes. After a long day of hiking, we were very glad the hotel was there when we spent the night in Villeneuve-du-Tarn. The welcome was so warm, and Pascal did all he could to help us set off again the next day. We found nowhere better, and it's a place we'll remember and happily return to. A huge thank you for everything!

The village is quiet and well placed for different activities, from sightseeing to hiking. We stayed a week at the Hostellerie des Lauriers, and Chantal and Pascal were so kind and attentive that we felt at home. The rooms were spotless, and breakfast was generous enough to set us up for a day exploring the region. The food was all made with local, authentic products, with flavors that still feel real. Try the garlic soup and Chichoulet cheese. A place well worth seeing!
