The room was a good size and comfortable enough, though the decor feels dated. The food was wonderful and the staff lovely. It’s a bit out in the sticks, but the view is nice.

When the weather’s good, ask for a table outside. The mountain view is breathtaking. This family-run place is welcoming to kids of all ages, and Pierrette and her daughter are happy to tell you about the region and its local products. I’ve been coming to the Liccettu with my family for as long as I can remember, and I make a point of stopping here whenever I’m in Corsica. It’s one of my favorite restaurants ever. The seasonal set menu is served family-style and features very good traditional Corsican food, including soup and charcuterie, plus other dishes I’ll leave as a surprise. Dessert changes with the season too. The homemade Cédrat or Myrthe wine is original and really tasty, either as an aperitif or with dessert. Getting there means taking the usual Corsican roads, which are narrow and in poor condition, but the scenery is great and the destination is worth it.

Dinner is a set menu at a reasonable 45 euros per person. It’s a great traditional Corsican meal, well worth the detour if you want to try typical local dishes.
