Gîte et chambre d'hôtes La Petite Source

Dabo is such a beautiful place, and we had a wonderful night there. The sun didn't go down until 10 pm, either. In the small French village, our hosts welcomed us warmly and shared dinner with their family, at their expense. They said we were the first Asian group they had hosted and were delighted to meet us. We talked about work, salaries, and housing prices. They thought Taiwanese people worked incredibly hard. My salary was only a third of what they earned as new graduates, while housing prices were comparable to those in their major cities. They were concerned about France's current unemployment rate, which they said was as high as 10%, and about many immigrants from Eastern Europe and North Africa competing for jobs at very low wages, much like foreign workers in Taiwan.

We had everything we needed in the cottage, including an oven and dishwasher, plus high-speed internet and TV. It's attached to the owners' house but has its own side entrance, so privacy is assured. Spotlessly clean, with welcoming owners, it's in a lovely quiet village right beside forest trails. We spent a superb week here. Thanks, and see you next year.

The room was spacious and had all the essentials, and the bathroom was luxurious. There was a good restaurant nearby, and breakfast the next morning was hearty. We stopped for one night before a race and were warmly welcomed. Such a pleasant evening, and thanks for the hospitality. I highly recommend it!

The owners are wonderful, and we loved the peaceful setting and scenery. We can't wait to return so they can meet our second little one. Go without hesitation! Lots of kisses from the South to the whole family 🌹😊
