We got a fair price for a lovely room right in the middle of Alsace. The owner was friendly, and the location was great. I can't say enough good things about the place.

There's a shared area for making food or just having coffee, and the place is spotless, quiet, and clearly laid out. L'Alcove has three bedrooms in a peaceful cul-de-sac right in the center of Dambach-la-Ville. You'll need to park in the nearby lot and walk over. Entry is through a coded gate, then a key box has your room key. It's a good base for seeing the medieval town and wandering the vineyards. Bernstein Castle is about an hour's walk uphill, with trails continuing higher into the mountain.

The village sits among vineyards, hills, and castles, and the room is right in its center. It's a clean, modern room with everything we needed, in a charming cottage typical of Alsace. A lovely fit for a couple on holiday or just stopping by.

The shower was wonderfully spacious, and the kitchen was practical and pleasant. Everything was spotless, and the place itself felt cozy. Getting there was a hassle because the address in the Airbnb link was wrong. We also found the bed and pillows too hard. Still, we were happy with the stay and recommend it.
