Brit Hotel Confort Lyon Dardilly

We only stayed a night on our way to the south of France with our two dogs, and the small rooms were fine for that. The price was fantastic, the staff lovely, and the bathrooms good. Breakfast was okay, and cheap, which was nice. We’d definitely come again!

The room was basic and small, but clean, and we had a quiet night, just what we needed for a one-night stop. There’s very little space to unpack, so it would be too cramped for a longer stay as a couple. The guy at reception was nice and helpful, even though English clearly wasn’t his first language :)

This was a pleasant, welcoming budget hotel with helpful staff and a calm, nice atmosphere. The bedroom was small but practical and very clean. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice. The quality for the price was very good. There are two restaurants next door, and I tried the Portuguese one. It was excellent quality and good value. The Wi-Fi, unfortunately, was very hard to connect to and dropped after about 30 seconds, so avoid this place if you need internet for work or personal reasons. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it.

We didn’t feel safe, so we left and found somewhere else. The area around the place looked like a scene from Deliverance, and the room, supposedly a superior one, looked like somewhere you’d hide from the police. At reception, the woman was extremely rude. She said nothing, didn’t welcome us or smile, set a key on the desk and went back to something else. No directions to the room, no indication that check-in was finished, not a word. AVOID!
