Westlodge Dardilly Lyon Nord

The location is great, and so are the staff. The room was reasonably okay, with a mini kitchen for preparing food, but there was a lot of noise from the neighbors and odd smells coming from the ventilation.

We brought our dog and that was no problem, and free private parking was available. Thanks! There’s a fenced dog park about 15 minutes away by car, handy for tiring out your dog before the next leg of a road trip. The one drawback was the air conditioning shutting off when the entrance key wasn’t inserted. Maybe a double key system could keep the room cool for the dog?

For the price, this is a very good place, though breakfast wasn’t included. We paid 193€ for five people for one night. Sorry, we forgot to take a picture of the room 😅. The hotel is clean, though not the cleanest, and could use some renovations. It has its own garage, and you need your keycard to access the different floors.

I was given a different room from the one I ordered, and the door key didn’t work at all. Every time I returned, the receptionist had to let me in with his key. The crew didn’t speak English very well either. Breakfast was a level above standard.
