Camping des Halles

The site has plenty of shade, but the pitches are open with no hedges between them. Toilets and showers are very basic and the water was cool or cold. Staff were polite, though they weren't much help.

We were glad we went for the €20-a-night glamping tent when thunderstorms rolled in. It stayed warm and dry, and the bed was really comfortable. The welcome at reception was lovely, and the toilets and showers were clean and looked after, with paper and toilet seats supplied. It's a quiet spot near the park and swimming pool, with a fantastic camp kitchen, hotplates, a microwave, and lots of tables and seats. The walk into town takes you past old buildings, bars, and supermarkets. A wonderful stay, especially for cycle tourers. Highly recommended.

There’s a beach area along the Loire, and lots for children to play on, including swings, slides, and zip lines. A nice campsite.

The municipal indoor pool next door is very good, and the campsite is in a nice spot. There’s bread available, the facilities are good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Pitch sizes vary, though, and there are no hedges between them. We walked around choosing a pitch, then found out several empty-looking ones were already in use because nobody had left markers.
