Château Armand Heitz

The views around the domaine are incredible, and the château has plenty of charm. It’s a historic home that’s been restored beautifully, with a real sense of authenticity. We had a memorable stay in that stunning landscape.

The wines were superb and really well priced. We had a fantastic time, from the tasting and lunch at Chez Armand to staying in the Le Cellier Apartment.

The farm was a hit with my kids, and they enjoyed wandering the country roads and finding a mini playground. The countryside is spectacular, and the character-filled farmhouse was comfortable, with what we needed to make a lovely dinner and breakfast in the suite. As someone who owns a heritage home, I know how hard it can be to keep old houses comfortable in summer. Ceiling fans upstairs would help move the cool night air around while staying quiet enough for a good sleep. I hope we can return one day.

It’s a charming place, with beautiful rooms, excellent bedding, and quality details all over. The reception was excellent too, patient and welcoming. I took off a star because breakfast only had one soft cheese and one hard, dry meat option. The farm honey is for sale, but the same honey served at breakfast was rock hard and inedible. Checkout is 10am, which feels early when breakfast also ends at 10. I also agree with another review about there being advertising materials everywhere.
