La Jasoupe

The location itself is nice, but our arrival was very disappointing because the owner had double booked it and didn’t seem to have the booking under control. If you’re travelling that far, I’d recommend calling the owner at least twice to confirm first. I also want to say that the owner’s response below is wrong in several respects. We were in touch with the owner the day before we arrived, and our stay was confirmed again.

The location is good and the cleaning staff are really nice, but there were too many problems for me to recommend this place. The rooms weren’t soundproof, despite that being advertised, and there was no air conditioning, even though it was advertised. There was no one at reception when we arrived, and we never saw anyone there during our stay. The pool was dirty, with a lamp floating in it that looked broken and unsafe. There was only one parasol by the pool for all the guests. On Sunday, a film shoot took place at the pool while a group of teenagers popped champagne inside it. Nobody had told us about this beforehand, which I think is the least they could have done. When I raised the issue, the manager was quite rude and very unfriendly.

We enjoyed our three days here. The gîte was roomy and stayed very cool in the summer, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. A very nice place to stay, thank you.

The place didn’t feel personal or cozy, and the rooms got pretty warm without any air conditioning. There wasn’t staff around except at breakfast. The pool was dirty and had no shade, and the nearest restaurant meant a 20 minute drive.
