Caraib'Bay Hotel

The WiFi was very limited, and I couldn't get mobile service in the area either, though that's not the hotel's fault. I know switching off can be good, but it made planning trips and restaurants inconvenient. Our wooden cabin smelled lovely, like cedar, and looked great. The garden plants made everything feel lush, and the swimming pool was especially brilliant.

Staff were extremely welcoming and happy to help whenever I needed anything. I got a lovely welcome cocktail, and the hotel restaurant is great for snacks and excellent cocktails. Breakfast was excellent too, with tasty, high-quality products that seemed carefully chosen. The resort sits in a tropical forest, making for a peaceful, authentic Caribbean feel. The garden is beautiful and very well kept, and the whole property is relaxing. It's close to one of the island's most beautiful beaches, which stays calm and uncrowded. There are also plenty of very good restaurants nearby. There were lots of mosquitoes around, understandable given the forest setting, and the pool was quite cold. The beds have mosquito nets, though, so sleeping was comfortable. A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay in Guadeloupe.

The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to help, including with tours. We stayed six nights and thought the hotel was well worth a visit.

We couldn't have asked for a better place for our week in Guadeloupe with our family of five, two adults and kids aged 6, 9 and 10. The rooms were just the right size and had everything we needed: an outdoor dining area, separate sleeping space for the kids, and a small kitchenette. Breakfast each morning set us up for exploring the island, and we loved relaxing by the salt water pool with a cocktail every afternoon. The staff were very helpful, booking excursions and making great restaurant reservations. The grounds were every bit as beautiful as the botanical gardens. We feel lucky to have found this gem and have zero complaints.
