La Colline Verte

Dario, the owner, was kind, pleasant, and helpful, and his small evening for all the guests was much appreciated. It gave us a chance to meet some lovely people. We had a wonderful stay at La Colinne Verte. The location is ideal, and the bungalows were clean and well equipped. It’s a great place to remember for a lovely vacation. Until next time!

It was peaceful and easy to unwind here, and the pool was a comfortable temperature. Our wooden bungalow had plenty of space, with a big terrace set up with a kitchen, plus a roomy bedroom, ensuite bathroom, and storage cupboards. Dario looked after us really well and answered all our questions.

The pool was refreshing and a good size, with two chairs and two loungers nearby. Our own loungers were by the house, too. The maroon-green bungalow was convenient for our week as a couple from Germany, and the air conditioning cooled things down quickly and worked reliably. Nights can be loud here, as they often are across Guadeloupe, with birds calling until dawn. With the air conditioning on it was fine, and earplugs helped otherwise. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable bed, around 160 or 180 cm wide, with a firm but not hard mattress. The water pressure and temperature were great, and the internet reception was good. Bedding, towels, and even dish towels were all provided. The small outdoor kitchen had more equipment than we expected. A heads-up: the ginger cat appears at night and can open the trash can, so bringing it inside overnight may be best. There are curious roosters around, too, so no alarm clock needed ;-) It’s a handy base for excursions, and the prettiest beaches are not far. A car is definitely useful, and some French helps. If we come back to Guadeloupe, we’d stay here again.

Back at Colline Verte for a second week-long stay, and still very happy with the lush surroundings and how quiet the place is. The manager gave us a warm welcome, making it easy to have enriching conversations with the other residents. Thank you.
