Résidence Deshroses

They wouldn't give us another roll of toilet paper because apparently one was supposed to last three nights in this tourist apartment. We also had a freezing shower, though they said we were lying. The apartment was dirty too. The whole strange story is on TripAdvisor, and we really don't recommend the place. After the establishment's unbelievable reply, I'll add this: they accused us of lying because we hadn't called and claimed the shower wasn't freezing, then criticized us for adding a roll of toilet paper. They think they're being kind and gentle? This is a matter for psychiatry, or they should try yoga ;) With that kind of attitude, it's no wonder guests other than us might completely lose their temper.

The first morning's breakfast was a lovely touch, and the pool was well looked after. I really enjoyed my stay with such friendly, welcoming hosts. The studio was clean and well-equipped, and the location felt very safe and ideal.

The kids loved the atmosphere, and we were taken with the calm and beauty of the setting. Our two nights at Résidence Deshroses were a magical family break, in a gorgeous tropical garden that's clearly very well cared for. It's a lovely place to recharge while enjoying Deshaies. Thanks so much for the warm welcome, we'll definitely come back!

Valérie's morning yoga classes were a lovely part of the stay, and Valérie and Yankel were welcoming, helpful, and full of good advice. The residence is well placed for exploring the island, rainforest, and turtle-watching, with the beach only a five-minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay in a clean, quiet cottage with air conditioning and mosquito nets, and felt very comfortable. Breakfasts were plentiful and varied. Many thanks, we'd gladly return and highly recommend it.
