Jacques was thoughtful about everyone’s comfort, and even drew us a map of the whole town. The location is ideal, and the price is affordable. The building has some history, but it’s still a warm, budget-friendly place to stay.
Right in the middle of the places pilgrims come to Lourdes for, this hostel is very conveniently located. The spacious shared area makes it easy to meet interesting people from all over the world. The house is old, and you need to take care of your own meals. Jacques is a friendly owner who shares useful tips and a hand-drawn map to help you find your way around Lourdes.
I can't give it zero stars. €60, and one of the worst hotels I've ever seen. I've been in Lourdes for over eight years and never imagined a place like this. The hotel seems abandoned and is extremely dirty. The bathroom smelled unpleasantly of urine, the microwave was filthy, and the room was completely run-down with no TV. The children's bed felt dangerous and had no safety rail. The Booking.com photos are misleading. The owner is very nice, but isn't a hotelier.
My family and I felt right at home here, and were welcomed warmly every time we came back. It was a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful, quiet, and clean, and Jean is kind, attentive, and very welcoming. Thank you so much for everything, Jean. I highly recommend it! 😍😍
After SNCF cancelled our train at the last minute, leaving us to fend for ourselves, the three of us arrived late at night in a hurry. Jean-Jacques took us in and was incredibly kind, as were his friends. This hostel is right in the heart of the city, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Thanks again for everything, I highly recommend it.
