Christine was friendly and accommodating, and made us a delicious breakfast at this charming manor, or ‘small château’. The gardens are lovely too. Dinner can be arranged with three days’ notice, and it was excellent value and very charming.

I told the hostess how disappointed I was. The room was noisy, with cars outside and, especially, rodents eating the wood. For that price, the owner didn’t even come to meet me. I won’t recommend the place. After saving up for a holiday, this kind of surprise is awful. Not everyone is suited to running a bed and breakfast, it takes a calling. 144 euros to come away disappointed.

We had a friendly welcome, and the room was spacious with excellent bedding. Dinner was enjoyable, with a generous serving of local specialties. The place is a bit isolated, though, so getting around can take a while.

The rooms were very comfortable, and the building has been beautifully renovated. Meals and breakfast were excellent and hearty. A very friendly welcome too. Highly recommended.

Our group of hikers from the Charente region was welcomed during our GR 430 trek. Mrs. Lherbier, the chatelaine (she’ll smile!), accommodated us well on both rates and lodging, and we all loved the stay. It was almost too good to be true!
