Camping Les Eaux Chaudes

Check-in was easy, but the campground is 2 km, or about a 20-minute walk, uphill from the city center. There was no restaurant or pub, though a caravan selling pizzas was there in the evening. I couldn't find a power outlet to charge my phone or other batteries, which isn't acceptable when you're traveling with only a tent.

This was my third time camping here, and it's a well-run site. The washing and toilet facilities are kept in top order. You can pre-order breakfast, baguettes, croissants, and pain au chocolat the day before. In summer, hot food vendors come by on set nights. I travel by motorbike and always stay in a tent; most pitches are shaded, and electric is available if needed. There's a supermarket with a filling station about three quarters of a mile away on the road towards Digne, and the town is about a mile away, an easy walk if you fancy a few beers and a meal there.

A nice campsite, with a lovely, clean pitch in the shade. We arrived late and didn't go to the pool. The facilities were lovely and clean too.

The campsite itself was good, but the location was bad and it wasn't possible to walk into town. The people at reception only speak French, so they couldn't give me any information.
