After an accident on our motorcycle tour across Europe, my partner and I had to arrange emergency accommodation from the hospital. The woman working there stayed up until 11, an hour beyond the 10 pm check-in deadline, and showed us to a brilliant, cosy room with all the basics. She was sincere and kind, and the male staff member was kind too. They gave us tea and fresh water, and we stayed two nights. We needed to get to Nice for flights home because of the accident. She drove us to the bus station and asked the French locals nearby which coach we should take. I've never met people so generous, and I'll always feel indebted to them. I recommend this place for the safety and generosity of its people.

It's a traditional, fairly cheap hotel some distance from the centre. The host and hostess are great and know their city well. Everything works, including the wifi, and it's clean.

Outside it looks nice, but inside it feels stuck in the 80s. There's a strong smell of stale tobacco. You can find somewhere better for the same price.

The staff were always welcoming and ready to help, and the breakfast was varied and good quality. I had a really pleasant stay in Digne-les-Bains: the hotel was clean, quiet, and well placed for relaxing or exploring the area. The room was comfortable too. I'd happily recommend it.
