The hotel is modern, with friendly staff and plenty of parking. Our room was a decent size, well equipped and quiet, and I appreciated having a light blanket as well as a quilt on a 30-degree day. There was a kettle, but no tea bags or cups, and no fridge. Breakfast was okay, though nothing was cooked fresh. It's in a large shopping area near a main road.

We booked two nights at the Kyriad because there were very few places to stay in or near Digne, but we came away very disappointed. The heating blew hot air and then stopped, so the room stayed cold throughout our visit. Reception said they had no portable radiator. The hotel needs urgent refurbishment inside and out, and the price is high for what it offers. It doesn't meet 3-star standards, and we can't understand the many glowing reviews.

We found the breakfast buffet good and fairly priced, and there was a welcome tray with complimentary water, biscuits, tea and coffee. The rooms were refurbished at the end of 2016 and are conveniently laid out, with a comfortable double bed and enough room for an extra bed, which was readily available. There's a TV and air conditioning too. The on-site restaurant serves dinner, though we didn't try it. The hotel is in the commercial zone, about a five-minute drive from the historic city centre.

We'd happily stay here again. Our room was clean and looked nearly new, with a comfortable bed. It faced the quiet, tree-covered hillside behind the property. The staff were very nice, and we enjoyed good food at reasonable prices in the restaurant.

For one night, this is a decent place to stay. The room was very clean, though a little worn. At around 70 euros a night without breakfast, it feels somewhat expensive for this kind of hotel.
