City Loft Dijon

The service was superb, and receptionist Eloise was especially helpful with tips and recommendations. The hotel is excellent and so well placed, with almost everything a tourist might want to visit just a short walk away.

The room was spacious and the hotel is in a great location. Staff were extremely friendly, and there was a complimentary afternoon snack from about 5 to 7 PM with coffee, syrup, brownies, crepes, and candies. A few things brought it down to four stars for me: some minor damage by the window, and one window was hard to close and stayed open on the first night. One elevator was out of order, so the wait was long, and our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. Reception closing from 1 to 3 PM wasn’t a big deal since checkout is at noon. But after checkout we had to hand back the key that opens the main entrance, so we couldn’t get back in before 3 PM.

The location was perfect for our long weekend, right in the center and an easy walk to loads of restaurants, shops, and sights. Service was great too. One young man went out of his way to help us sort out a problem with our parking garage. Our room was nice, with a city center view and plenty of sunlight through the windows. The air conditioning was a relief when we came back during the hottest part of the day. The kitchenette had the basics, and small appliances were available on request. Breakfast was tasty, and I found a new cheese to love, though I thought it was a bit pricey for what it was. The only reason I took off a star was the cosmetic condition around the hotel. It could use a little work and would then be an absolute gem. We parked at garage Grangier for 31€ for 3 days, which was very reasonable.

Angie at the front desk was great. She was really helpful and booked a restaurant for us.
