The service was charming, and the location right by the river in Dinan was lovely. We had some of the most delicious mussels we’ve ever tasted.

A great spot for Dinan, near enough to town but quieter than the centre. The old building has lots of charm, though mind your head. Breakfast was lovely, dinner at the restaurant was top notch, and the cider was good too ;)

I was glad to find Sylvaine and Olivier just as charming and engaging as I remembered from my visit to Le Poisson Ivre several years ago. The menu is delicious, and Olivier’s tender lamb really stood out. The kitchen turns out carefully made dishes in a relaxed, convivial setting, with a cool London Grammar soundtrack. Every plate was served and presented with real care. I liked the food so much I came back the next day for lunch on the sunny terrace. Olivier’s mushroom risotto and the mussels from Mont St. Michel were unbelievably good. As a solo travelling Irishman, I left very happy, and very full. Without doubt one of Dinan’s best restaurants, with a team to match. Chapeau! Highly recommended, 5 stars.

The decor is modern, tasteful, and fun, and the setting along the Rance river is peaceful, farther down from the busier start of the street. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, with simple ingredients handled very skillfully. Service can be a little too laid back and more attentive at times would help, but I like this place a lot for lunch or dinner.

We had dinner here and enjoyed the lovely mayo eggs, crispy fish and chips with a big dollop of good tartare sauce, plus a large bowl of tasty chips.
