Dinard centre calme 2 Chambres Balcon

If Wi-Fi matters to you, be cautious. It didn’t work in the second building, although it worked perfectly well in the main one. The proprietor blamed the weather at first, then eventually acknowledged that she couldn’t fix the router and complained about running costs. I felt she was knowingly misleading guests by advertising Wi-Fi for the hotel. When I challenged the price, she blamed everything except her own dishonesty and, in anger, may have thrown twenty euros at me. When I didn’t pick it up, she chased me up the street telling me to accept the money. The next morning, she seemed likely to double down defiantly. It felt like the French equivalent of Fawlty Towers, or Faulty Tower, and I’m still waiting for a reply to my complaint letter.

The hotel is clean and quiet, and close to everything in Dinar. I wouldn’t bother with breakfast, though, and would go to a Boulangerie instead.

There’s parking just around the corner, or you can park at the hotel behind the gate.

It didn’t quite live up to what we expected, and seemed expensive for what it offers.
