Hôtel Emeria Dinard Thalasso & Spa

The spa pools were a real highlight, and the sea views from the lobby and restaurant are beautiful, truly postcard-worthy. But the rest of the stay didn’t live up to those things. We booked a “cottage” at Emeria Resort in Dinard for two adults and a child, and for a 4-star hotel it was just okay. There weren’t even side tables in the room, so where were we supposed to put glasses, books, or phones? The charm also disappears once you leave the lobby. The hallways have cheap posters, as if all the design money went into the entrance and restaurant. Food is seriously overpriced. A latte from an automated machine cost me 7 euros, which felt ridiculous. At that price I expected a person to make it, and it was truly awful. After the spa, going back to the room killed the relaxed feeling. The sea view and pools are stunning, but everything else was forgettable. Save your euros and stay somewhere with more character and side tables.

The service was outstanding, easily five stars. Our renovated room by the sea was a little small, though. There are three heated seawater pools in the spa, two indoors and one outside.

We arrived as a large, very jet-lagged group, and everyone at the Front Desk was accommodating. Florian was so personable and helpful, and Roman, the Front Desk Manager, helped us a lot with the language barrier. Charlotte at Spa Check In was always smiling, listened carefully, and was very helpful. Lynda in reservations was consistently helpful and suggested what would suit our group best. We had such a relaxing stay that we decided to extend it. Ian checked us in, and from that first moment the hotel and its staff were superb, friendly, and helpful. I’d recommend it without hesitation, and we’ll definitely be back.
