Aux Délices d'Elise

I love it!

The breakfast was lavish, and we slept wonderfully in a room that felt like a little treasure. We were so pleased with our June 2018 stay at Aux Délices D’Élise, especially the perfect welcome. We’ll definitely be back.

The owner made us feel like family, with a warm, casual conversation that was one of the best parts of our stay. Breakfast in the morning was fit for royalty: homemade cakes, pastries, cheeses, yogurts, jams and orange juice. I only wish I’d had room to taste everything. Our one night here was a lovely B&B experience, with a flower and herbal teas on the tray, a great shower, a working TV and Wi-Fi, and a small room laid out with care. It’s central but peaceful. Thanks again for such a warm welcome!

Elise and her husband made us feel at home straight away, and we’re grateful for their wonderful hospitality. The room was cosy, with a welcome tray, and we could use the kitchen and living room in the former crêperie she used to run. For breakfast, we just had to pop into the bakery next door. Shops were all close at hand, including a pastry shop, grocery store and greengrocer, plus a good restaurant and the Saturday market right in the street. The village was lively, yet our room was quiet and pleasant to come back to after walks around Cabourg, Houlgate, Trouville, Deauville, Caen, Rouen, Honfleur, Etretat and other places nearby. Our trip to Normandy three weeks ago left us with wonderful memories, thanks to the sights and scenery as well as the special charm of Aux Délices d'Elise and Elise’s warm, natural manner.
