Huttopia Divonne

Late August or early September was really quiet when we were there. You can bring a tent, campervan or caravan, or rent a glamping tent, and there are trees all around the pitches. Nearly every space had its own picnic table. The toilets and showers were clean, and you can order bread for the next day. There’s a nice pool and an indoor shared area open 24/7. At night it’s dark except for motion-triggered lights, so you can look at the stars and hear owls in the distance. Absolutely amazing campsite!

The surroundings are lovely, with a great view of Mont Blanc. We liked how calm and spacious the campsite felt. The bathroom was nice, though a little small for a camp this size. There’s a pool, and it was open even in September, but we didn’t try it. Fresh bread and pastries can be ordered and picked up the next morning.

The team were friendly and helpful, and the cabins were comfortable and well equipped. The setting is lovely, looking over the lake with Mont Blanc far off on the horizon. Most of the tent pitches are quite sloped and rocky, though, so bring pegs that can handle rocky ground.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, and I’m looking forward to trying another Huttopia next year. This one has a stunning spot just above Lake Geneva, with plenty of cycling and walking routes nearby. The swimming pool and tennis court could use some care and updating.
