Our three-night visit did have some bright spots: the location is excellent, the staff were sincerely hospitable, and we had an excellent dinner, although the restaurant was closed on two of the three nights. Those positives were outweighed by a lot of problems. The hotel is a recently renovated 60-year-old building striving for five-star status, but the old structure’s limits showed in the small rooms and awkward layout. We felt cramped and uneasy, and the rooms seemed closer to a standard business hotel than a luxury one. The spa was disappointing too. The jacuzzi, reported broken in a Google review a year earlier, still wasn’t working, and the spa room had no water, snacks, or shower soap. Breakfast was also at business-hotel standard. Then our car was damaged in the parking lot, and no assistance was available. The security failures and other shortcomings mean the hotel has significant improvements to make before it can genuinely be considered five-star.

The rooms are a bit small, and although the service tries very hard, the staff don't deliver a five-star level. It's a good hotel, just not worth five stars.

The beach is beautiful and stretches for miles, and the front rooms have superb sea views. The hotel is in perfect condition. It was designed by a student of Le Corbusier and built in 1964.

You can hear, taste, and smell the beach from your room. This is a wonderful place to recharge, with great rooms, a lovely breakfast, and very good service. There are no parties here, which is fantastic!
