It’s not a luxury place, but breakfast was amazing, and they even had a fresh orange juice machine. I stopped here with my kids. We walked to the high wires, which were nearby, then walked part of the way and took the free bus into the centre.

The evening receptionist on May 6 2022 was a star, so friendly, sweet and helpful. I had less contact with the woman on duty the next morning, but she was very nice too. Booking directly online caused trouble: my card was charged but the reservation didn’t go through, so I had to call. I’m still seeing a double charge and hope it gets sorted within 7 days. Using the Booking app is much easier for me, and I’ve had no issues with it. I was travelling by bicycle, and the hotel wouldn’t let me take it into my room. They did have a locked room for it, but that added hassle and wasted time when unpacking and packing. During 4 months travelling in Spain, Portugal and France, this usually hasn’t been a problem unless the stairs are too narrow for the bike. The cleaning could be better. The electric towel drier was so dusty that I had to wash it before using it. The single-use plastic cups were another downside. Breakfast wasn’t great. I find breakfast in France is often much the same and overpriced, though sometimes it’s just convenient. Dinner at the restaurant didn’t impress either. The burger was okay, while the pasta was really boring.

The staff are magnificent and will do whatever they can to help. My little room was laid out surprisingly well and had a bit of glamour to it. I didn’t expect the ceiling on the 3th floor to be so low.

The hotel was clean and well run, with parking that was easy to access. There’s a nice restaurant and bar, too. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and did those little extras that make you feel welcome. Thanks, M.
